Series: Jesus Wants To Meet You, Too
Message 3, Part 1 - Meeting Jesus Is Not a Coincidence
John 4:6-10
Just how much of life's experiences are coincidental I can not answer, but I
do know that God is very much aware of our circumstances, and there are many times
when God definitely reaches into a particular situation. The meeting between
Jesus and the Samaritan woman at Jacob's well ws no coincidence.

Message 2 - Jesus Meets Nicodemus
John 3:21
We are familiar with the account in which Nicodemus goes to Jesus at night. When the
alarm at the church goes off at 3:00 am (which is more than I like) and I come down to
check it out, I am not overjoyed. When Nicodemus comes to Jesus at night, he was well
received, and Jesus gladly spent thime with him. Be assured that whoever comes to Jesus
will not be turned away.

The Coming of Christmas
Luke 2:10
Each year as we prepare for the coming of Christmas, we hear Christmas music on the radio,
we see advertisements and we see stores setting up for Christmas sales well before Thanksgiving.
There is great anticipation for the arrival of December 25th, as well as guarded preservation.
We become even busier, more tired and more financially taxed than usual. It is difficult to
focus upond the real meaning of Christmas and to hear God speaking to us through the Christmas
story when our attention is torn in so many directions.
I trust we can go back to that night in which Jesus was born, before the decorations, the sales
of gifts, parties, Santa Claus and multi-colored lights, back to a still, clear night in which
there was only one light, the light of the star to shine upon the Light of the World. Come this
morning to a simple stable and see a man, a woman and a newborn baby. God speaks to those
who are ready to listen, whose attention is not diverted by the world's distractions. It
was Zacharias, Elizabeth, Joseph and Mary who were prepared to hear. Are we prepared today to
hear God speak to us?

Windows Into The Eternal
Luke 1:26-56
There are times in our lives when God reveals the eternal to us if but in a small way.
Both Elizabeth and Mary had that opportunity. Windows into the eternal are opened up
to those whose heart is prepared and whose spiritual eyes are not blinded by this
world's distractions.

Message 17 - The Reality of the Resurrection and the Anticipation of Jesus Coming Again
I Corinthians 15:35-58
Oh the anticipation of Christmas day for a child. It is filled with the eager hopefulness of that one
day which stands out above all others during the year. It comes at the very end of the year, so for
the child, the best is saved for last. Do you anticipate the coming again of Jesus with the same
eagerness? Are you ready for His coming?
